Earlier this year, Focus on the Family was planning ALIVE 2020, a live, five-city pro-life event. At each location, we had lined up speakers, pro-life leaders and musicians, with plans to demonstrate the precious dignity and humanity of life in the womb. But the arrival of the pandemic and social distancing necessitated that we rethink our strategy for these events. Canceling ALIVE 2020 altogether was not a desirable option. The message is too important, and in fact, statistics reveal that an increasing number of vulnerable women are seeking information about abortion amid the uncertainty of the COVID-19 outbreak. The world needs a hopeful message about the sanctity of human life now more than ever. We chose to move forward by changing the event to See Life 2020, a compelling online program that will premiere on Sept. 26 and feature powerful pro-life stories, commentary from dynamic Christian speakers and music from award-winning artists. We’re excited that the program will culminate with a 4D ultrasound—offering a window into the reality of life in the womb.
