Hello, Friend, as you head into Easter weekend, I want to be among the first to celebrate with you ... Jesus Christ has risen! Hallelujah! So much about our lives has changed in recent weeks. These turbulent times surrounding the coronavirus have upended schedules, finances, and plans. But one thing remains ... God’s steadfast love. And that unchanging love is never more evident than at Easter. “... he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading” (1 Peter 1:3-4, ESV). Of course, our Easter celebrations will look very different this year as churches forgo congregational gatherings in favor of online services in the wake of the coronavirus. But the Good News of Easter is “imperishable” and “unfading.” Because of Christ’s resurrection, we have a LIVING hope. It is one thing you can count on when your world spirals out of control. As you know, everything we do at Focus on the Family celebrates the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, and the forgiveness and life He came to give. Together, we are sharing Christ's unchanging grace and life with hurting families. Over the last 12 months, the resources and outreach efforts you provide have helped more than 293,000 people make decisions for Christ. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have increased our efforts to provide resources for families to engage with each other and deal with challenges like fear, boredom, financial stress, marriage and parenting issues. Our staff has put together a link with comprehensive resources for you and your family in the face of the pandemic, or click Focus@Home to view our free online streaming platform. To come alongside you to Celebrate Easter Together @ Home, we have developed a special collection of devotions, conversation-starters, crafts, activities, and movies. Click here for more information. I know budgets are stretched thin for so many right now. Would you stand with us in prayer as we continue to share Christ’s love with individuals and families at every age and stage of life? Now more than ever, families are searching for guidance and direction as they grapple with the new realities of illness, social distancing, canceled events, upended schedules, and financial uncertainty in the wake of the coronavirus. Will you also please pray that our team here at Focus would be able to meet them at their point of need with practical assistance and biblical truth? Thank you! And of course, if there’s any way we can minister to you and your family, we hope you’ll let us know. In the meantime, may your Easter weekend be filled with hope and joy as you celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior with those you love. Jim Daly President |
