Hi Friend, Election Day is 3 weeks from today ... have you already voted? Or are you ready to vote? Whether you’re following the election closely or not at all, you instinctively know that there is a lot at stake this November — recovering from COVID-19, preserving and protecting innocent pre-born life, jump-starting the economy and filling a Supreme Court seat. The business of our nation is sobering and affects every citizen. That’s why it is vital that YOU cast your ballot this election season. Your vote holds elected officials accountable and is your opportunity to have a say in the direction of your city, your state, and the country. Voting is essential for the health of our nation. Your vote is also a way to love your neighbor. As a Christian, when you take the time to inform yourself and cast your ballot, you show that you care about the place where you both live. To help you, Focus on the Family’s The Daily Citizen has created a non-partisan Election 2020 guide with summaries of the major candidates, each party’s platform, key issues, important election dates, helpful how-tos, and much more. We strongly encourage you to vote, even in a culture that is increasingly divided and contentious. In fact, we ask you to join us in praying for our nation and the men and women on the ballot. These are important times in which you are living, and God has placed you where you live for a purpose. Trust Him to guide you and our elected leaders in the days ahead. May God bless you and your family, P.S. To encourage you further, we’d invite you to watch this 28-minute Focus on the Family broadcast “The Importance of Voting in 2020,” featuring guests John Stonestreet and Tim Goeglein.
