Sunday Best: One thing all political parties can agree on

So why isn't Daylight Time permanent?

There are two kinds of people in the world: Those who gained an hour of sleep today, and parents. Daylight Time has come to an end, disturbing our circadian rhythms once again this year.

While this transition may not be as bad as the shift to Daylight Time — which, as Spencer Bokat-Lindell notes — "has been linked to higher heart attack risk, more workplace injuries and more car-accident deaths," it still requires some adjustment.

So why does most of America change the clocks twice a year? As it turns out, there are actually some upsides. On this week's episode of Times Opinion's podcast "The Argument," Jane Coaston digs into the debate. You can listen here.
