Hey, movie fans. Have you been keeping up with the Weekend Watch Parties thrown by our film critics, A.O. Scott and Manohla Dargis? This time, their selection was “His Girl Friday,” a fitting vehicle for our critics’ repartee.

With theaters closed and new releases dribbling out on digital, we suspect you’re scouring the streaming services for something good to watch. Our list of the funniest movies on Netflix may provide some guidance; ditto this collection of provocative indies on Hulu. And if it’s comfort food you’re after, why not revisit the marvelous caper “Sneakers,” available for digital rental?

Just don’t get too comfortable when relying on all this newfangled technology. Down that path lies evil robots.
