Hey, movie fans! |
Doesn’t it feel like the big movie everyone’s talking about is still “Parasite”? Since Bong Joon Ho’s film took the best-picture Oscar, it has enjoyed a massive box-office boost despite being readily available for home-viewing options. “Parasite” will soon out-gross several of the most recent best-picture winners, and it’s still so front-of-mind that even President Trump brought it up at a rally this week. |
I wonder if the “Parasite” bounce could continue into March, since the rest of February’s movie releases are fairly muted. For example, this week’s new films include “The Call of the Wild,” which pairs Harrison Ford with a C.G.I. dog, as well as the horror movie “Brahms: The Boy II,” the Dardenne brothers’ “Young Ahmed,” a new spin on Jane Austen’s “Emma” and the romantic drama “Premature.” Or maybe you’d like to keep having conversations about “Parasite” instead? |
