You probably saw just a few days ago that the U.S. Senate voted on two common-sense bills that would protect preborn children: - The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would protect babies born alive after botched abortion procedures, rather than leaving them unattended to die.
- The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would ban abortions after 20 weeks when medicine and science has confirmed that preborn babies can feel pain.
It is deeply disappointing that neither bill garnered the 60 votes needed to force an official Senate vote. Abortion has devastated the hearts and homes of women and families across our country — and ended the lives of tens of millions of preborn babies, all of whom were made in the image of God. We cannot let this continue.
