Everyone is talking about schools. I don’t even have kids and I’m talking about schools. My colleagues have lamented and cursed the lack of focus given to how we can best get students back in class, but the most elusive parts of the equation may now be in place: We have the attention, now we just need to solve for x, and y, and maybe r. The Opinion section has given much space recently to how we can tackle this safely and equitably, and my colleague Spencer Bokat-Lindell has summarized three of the smartest options for you in his own newsletter, Debatable.
