It was a busy first week for President Biden. After swiftly reversing a number of his predecessor's executive orders, Biden introduced a number of his own, including a series aimed at combating the climate crisis. But as Roy Scranton cautions, for all the jubilation surrounding Biden's renewed commitment to addressing the threat, we will also need to adapt because there is no returning to normal: "Normal means more fires, more category 5 hurricanes, more flooding, more drought, millions upon millions more migrants fleeing famine and civil war, more crop failures, more storms, more extinctions, more record-breaking heat."
